Times getting you down? Need a boost? See “Auntie Mame” at the Wade James. The place is New York City, 1929; and Mame is living high when her brother dies having willed her custody of his grade-school aged son. Endless parties and the stimulating company of countless friends have suddenly to take a back seat to the serious responsibility of raising a kid. Mame goes with the flow without skipping a beat till the stock market crash wipes out her livelihood; and that is just the beginning. At its core, this a 50 year old comedy staple built around a timeless answer to a timeless question: is the glass of water half full or half empty?
The answer for playwrights Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, is half full, given the alternative. The answer for Driftwood is, let’s have some fun, which they do. So check out this great play and have some good yucks!

Edmonds Wooden Spoon has been open since 1976 and is one of the longest family owned businesses in downtown Edmonds. Its full of every kitchen gadget you could imagine and then some. They also have candles, oils, spices, jelly, jam, you name it if applies to your kitchen they’re likely to have it. I had the pleasure of meeting Jenny Shore and Dolly Null who are family and still work the store and of course I can’t forget Woody. Guess who Woody really is well he is a big black friendly cat what a mascot. The Wooden Spoon also has a great selection of Christmas items seasonally. So the next time your in http://www.ci.edmonds.wa.us/vg_shop-dine.stm1045th Ave South Edmonds, Wa 96020 (425) 775-3344

Last week my neighbor had a very large Fir tree cutt down by LumberJack Tree Service. They just live accross the street and I could see the tree lims falling from our bedroom window. So I thought it was a great opportunity to feature this residential tree service in action. And if your in need of tree service contact LumberJack Tree Service. ( There’s Not A Tree I Won’t Climb, 20 Years in Business Products And Services: Thinning Pruning, Ornamental Nursery Services, Free Estimates Certification And Affiliations: Licensed, Insured, Certified Arborist …) Thanks for the extra southern view of the sound.

An agreement with Horizon Air and Snohomish County could be reached as early as next month to operate flights from Paine Field. Environmental hurdles for a new terminal building could be cleared by the fall, a county official said, potentially clearing the way for flights to begin.
The county, which owns and operates the airport, has been talking with two airlines, Horizon of Seattle and Allegiant Air of Las Vegas, that have expressed interest in Paine Field. The county expects to have a draft of an agreement with one of the two airlines in hand by May, deputy county executive Peter Camp told the Snohomish County Council in a March 30 briefing.
He didn’t specify at the time which airline could be the first to strike an agreement, but said later, “We are farther along with Horizon than with Allegiant.”

Seattle - Edmonds area home sales found some spring bounce in March, although prices continued to sink, according to a new report. March’s pending sales of houses and condominiums surged 28 percent in King County and 35 percent in Seattle from February, the Northwest Multiple Listing Service said.
“I’m expecting the market’s going to continue to be soft for the remainder of the year,” said Glenn Crellin, director of the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at Washington State University. “I am unwilling to be terribly optimistic at this point in time, but I think there are some glimmers of hope in these statistics.”
Sales typically increase in the spring, but this year’s jump from February to March dwarfed last March’s 10 percent increase in the county and 9 percent rise in the city. March sales totals were the highest since last October in the county and September in Seattle.

Well Golf Savings mortgage rates are a step in the right direction. Mortgage Rates have continued their decline lower. As many of you have probably heard, Golf Savings Bank is offering 3.875% to any buyers who purchase New Construction homes from any of our Builders, throughout the Seattle area. The buyer must be utilizing a Conventional Loan and be purchasing as a Primary Residence or Second Home. I have attached a list of the projects that qualify for this “Builder Special.” Mutual Acceptance must occur before April 15th. Please let me know if you have further questions or if you have a client who needs to be Pre-Approved for this great opportunity.
Although Mortgage Rates have continued to decline, it it unlikely for rates to move much lower. Supporting my stance, last Friday, Jack Koskinen, interim CEO of Freddie Mac, said that home loan rates are near the bottom and any further decreases will be small. He made this comment after attending the meeting between President Obama and the CEO’s of financial services companies on Capital Hill. So for those of you that have been on the fence its time to get off that fence and make a purchase you won’t regret it. Their is so much to gain in this market great rates, down payment assistance, and money back for the government once you’ve sealed the deal.
