Everyone has heard of the historicalPink House in downtown Edmonds well its here for a little while longer?
For months, conservationists tried unsuccessfully to save Edmonds’ Pink House, but where they failed, a slow city government and a devastating global meltdown have succeeded: the landmark Victorian mansion is staying put. For now.
Instead of the site of a new corporate headquarters, the home at 555 Main St. will be rented for the next 12 months as a residence, said officials with MaverickLabel.com, the Edmonds-based sticker and label distributor that purchased the house for $1.1 million in January.

Last Thursday was the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon at the Edmonds Yacht Club. Lunch of course was the season’s turkey and all its trimmings. And a very special treat were The Driftwood Players cast performing a segment of “Play With Your Food” music, mayhem, and more directed by Carissa Meisner Smit. Featuring talents of Anthony Dreessen, Renee Gilbert, Mark Gladding, Jennifer Hawkins, Dutch Heetbrink, Kelsey Jacobs, David Nance, Keith Remon, and Lisa Thiroux. Best Chances: Seattle, Wash.
6.15
Seattle has a reputation for nurturing brainy industries like aerospace and software. That should help it weather the coming financial storm. Seattle also stays strong because of its vibrant, livable downtown where rents are going up and tenants are likely to stick around. With real estate holding its own you can’t go wrong in Emerald City.
